Biography of Win Pe Myint (WPM)

             Win Pe Myint or WPM as he signs his works was born in 1948 in Minbu, a small town in Central Myanmar. Starting in 1968, he studied basic drawings under U Lun Gywe at the prestigious Yangon University Art Association. But, he graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring Botany.

              He continued his art study under outstanding  Myanmar artists U Thein Han. U Lun Gywe, U Shwe Oung Thame and U Paw Oo Thett after he finished his university life.
In 1973, started to show his paintings in groqp exhibitions. He prefers to work with pastel and oil.
He is not bound by any technique, any style, and any subject 1980 - Member of Lokanat Galleries, Yangon- Exhibiited in Japan, Korea, United States of America, England, China, Hong Kong and Singapore
